Testicular Self-Examination

As most testicular cancers are found by men themselves (or their partners), it is important to be familiar with what is normal and, if you do notice any changes, then you must see your GP immediately.  It is generally recommended that you do the testicular self-examination during or right after a warm shower or bath when the scrotum is in relaxed condition.  Don’t be alarmed if one testicle seems slightly larger than the other, which in most cases is normal.  It should also be remembered that it is usual for one testicle to hang lower than the other.
